Everybody is busy this time of year. At Walker Supply, it has been a little busier than normal, as we expanded our business operations. We would like to take this opportunity to outline the past two years.
We moved into our new location right outside of Pittsburgh in North Fayette during the fall of 2015. This 31,000-square foot facility expanded our warehousing capacity as well as gives us offices and a place to hold meetings. If you have not come to the building, please stop by as it is conveniently located right off the Montour Run road exit off I-376.
A little more than a year ago, we were approached by Al Phillips, who owns and operates The Turf Trade (based out of NJ), about purchasing his distribution centers in PA. After seeking advice from several professionals, including bankers, lawyers, accountants, other distributors and our advisory board, we embarked on a 12-month journey of “Due Diligence”, to ensure this was a good move for everyone involved. With final approval, the final paperwork was signed in March 2017, just in time for the spring rush.
What does this mean to our customers? Our newly expanded team has a combined total of 100’s of years Turf and Ornamental industry experience. Our 4 locations (North Fayette, Lancaster, Philadelphia, and Wilkes Barre) are convenient located and allow for quick and easy shipping and pickup of products. Our growing fleet of delivery vehicles are there to make sure you have products where and when you need them.
