Don started his career in the green industry working at Quicksilver Golf Club in 1989. During his 10 years serving in multiple positions, Quicksilver GC transformed from your average public course to one of the nicest public courses in the country. “It was quite the experience. I was fortunate enough to have opportunity to be part of several Pro tournaments, including the Ben Hogan tour and the Senior tour,” he recalled. In 1999, Don left the course to take a position for a large distribution company of equipment and agronomic products as a head mechanic. He covered three of their Pittsburgh locations and eventually transitioned into sales where he found his niche, a true passion. Don spent over 19 years with them building great relationships with customers. “This summer, however, I had a decision to make regarding my future, and I realized this great opportunity to join the WSI team was right in front of me,” he said. “I am very excited and looking forward to continuing my career and passion helping my friends purchase the products they need to make their company grow and be profitable. I know, most sales people call their clients “customers”, but I’m proud that through our work together, I find them to be more.”
When not working, Don enjoys spending a lot of time outdoors! In summers, you’ll find him at his camp, often boating with his wife Melissa and their two daughters, Ashley, 16, and Madison, 10. In the fall and winter, he enjoys hunting with friends and their dogs, and in the spring, he likes to do a little fishing when possible.
